Some of you may know that about a week ago my multies spawned for the first time :). Originallt there were 3 fry, but one of them died, im not sure why:(.

But two of them are still going strong, just thought i'd show you a pic that i managed to get of them.
This is the mother and father, and you can just make out one fry in the shell

This was the only half decent shot i was able to get of them.

At the mo they are in a 7g, but i will be getting a 20g soon for them :). The male is about and inch long a the female just over half and inch, each of the fry are about 4mm long.

Swordtail8 - thanks for the great compliment :D! My 45g is currently going under somewhat of a makeover, so its looking a little bare at the mo. But i'll post pics tomorow sometime, so you can see the progress of it.

Lovely tanks Barb! Really nice on the eye and well thought out. A bit too much sand in the multi now though - maybe tank some out on the left leaving about 2"?
The 20g that you'll move them too, a 2ft tank is that?

Cangratualtions on the spawns, they're really motoring now, you'll have a full blown colony in no time.

Thanks taffy,i thought i took enough sand out before, but then the multies still managed to pile it up to about 3 inches, i will take some out tomorow as i just did a water change and i dont wanna be stressing the fry out to much.

EDIT: i havn't actually got the tank yet, but will be looking to buy it within the next week or 2

Awesome!!! The colors you get from tiger barbs with blue gouramis and red-tailed sharks is just awesome. Then their is rasboras which I know are awesome looking because I have them myself. I think a pearl gourami would look awesome in a tank like that but I'm not sure if they would get along with the opaline gouramis and the blue seems like it would be more attractive then the pearl's colors would.

Multies seem interesting also. I got 2 mbunas in a 10 gallon which was a buy on impulse but I really wanted some african cichlids.

Thanks, i was actually looking into getting some green tiger barbs to add a little bit of a different colour to the tank. Yeah i do like the look of pearls but i think my male opaline would be too aggressive because if i were to get a pearl i'd want a male cos there the prettiest :D.
