Ok so now I have a fry tank. I've read that some people just put their eggs right into straight r/o water. That's not what I want to do but my question is can I safely put gbr eggs into an uncycled tank and raise the fish into that tank or would I need to cycle the tank before I add the fry/eggs?

It would be best to put them in a cycled tank but since it is new use 75% water from the big tank and add 25% new. It will have to be cycled If you can add some decor from ther big tank to speed it up. Loanwolf would be the one to ask he is breeding GBR's now. Here is his thread http://www.myfishtank.net/forum/breeding/41958-my-new-5-5g-egg-tank.html
