Fulval 304 Opinions

I was wondering if the Fluval 304 is a good canister filter. The LFS here has them on sale for $99.96 CDN which is about $65-$70 USD. Opinions and/or personal experience regarding the 304 would be greatly appreciated. Internet whole salers are not really an option for me because once the shipping exchange rate are taken into account it is cheaper to buy from the LFS. Also Big Al's has great prices in the United States, but the Canadian online store has awful prices, for example an AC500 is $74.99.I am in need or another filter or my 90 gallon as it only has a Magnum 350 and an Emp 280 (630gph). I cannot get an AC500 or an Emp400 (although an AC300 or another Emp 280 will fit) because my they won't fit in the spaces on my lid. Thanks for the help.

hello, i hope the folks on oscarfish.com give you some good opinions too.

i personally think that the fluvals are OK at best, and that the filstars and via-aqua are much better for the money.

at the price fulvals are a waste.go to bigals.com and check the prices on the via aqua canisters.i love mine.it's just like an ehiem but at a better price.i piad 70 dollars usd for mine.

allthingsanimal just set up a via-aqua and he loves it also.

it seems that not many people are using them, but i cant think of a better canister for the money!

I have two fluval 304s on a 50 and a 30 and I like htem. That is a great price too. I'll admit, not the best filter but they work for me.

go with via-aqua. They are great. Almost like an eheim but 1/2 the price.
