Less than 2 weeks ago, I bought a bristlenose pleco, and while I was trying to introduce him into my tank (after acclimating him of course) I (unfortunately) think that I got a little rough with him with the net. He was sucking onto the side of the container that he was in, and I was trying to nudge him to get him off.
Anyway, a couple of days later, I noticed some little white marks around his gills, probably where I was poking him. It looked sort of like mold, so I figured it was a body fungus, especially since I heard that this often shows up on injuries. I quarantined him in a 10g and have been treating him for a week now (the tablets say that 1 dose over 4 days should cure it) and I have seen no improvement. Luckily, he hasn't gotten any worse either.
What should I do? Should I keep treating with the same medicine? Should I try a different fungal med? What else could this be?
Sorry for the long post, but I'm worried about the little guy. *SICK*
