Funky Fin!!

*SICK* Hey all, just wondering if anyone might know what happend to my lyretail molly's back fin. I was watching the fish the other day and noticed she has a rip in her fin. Here are a couple of pics. It's not just the see through part of the fin, but it looks like it's a part of her body too. Don't know what happend, all of a sudden it looked like this. She is the most aggressive on in the tank, the next in line would be a dalmation molly (just a bit bigger then her). The other fish are pretty much afraid of her.

It could have been from decorations maybe if, not another fish. I can see you have a ship decoration in the background it could be from swimming to close to that.

Looks like another fish finally got at her or she caught it on something in the tank. Your tank is kind of overcrowded with livebearers, the males especially tend to get aggressive in order to breed. With so many females, I hope you have plans for all those fry...

Should I get some medicine and put it in the tank to help her heal or will she heal on her own?

use melefix for best results

She should be fine on her own...although sometimes these tears never really heal up all the way. If it starts looking worse, add some melafix, that will prevent infection.
