After much pondering on what to do to help keep the surface on my water in my 45 gallon nice and clear I happened upon this.

Anybody used this before? It's cheap enough that if it doesn't work I'm not going to be out much, but if it does work that will be great. It will save me lots of trouble and heart ache.

hehe, I've grown quite lazy over the past few weeks with my 45. I moved it from one wall to another, but nothing more to that. I need to get off my lazy tail and get that sucker done and stocked. :)

We have one of those on a tank, and it's attached to a Fluval. It makes an annoying sucking sound if the water level gets too low. I haven't noticed a surface film problem in that tank, but I don't have that in many of my tanks anyway.

great product :) highly recomend for people with open top tanks and have film. A lot of maintance if you always have stuff floating around like leaves. If the whole thing is $14 which is the only price i saw on that page then don't get it there cause big al's is selling it for like $8 if i remember correctly. People from platnedtank.net say that breaking off every other tooth makes it way more effecient.
