For those of you with CO2 set ups. I have been looking at getting a gang valve for multiple reasons.

1. Anti syphon control so stuff doesn't go into my CO2 bottles
2. Control the amount of CO2 entering the tank
3. Going to have two bottles so they will have to be connected somehow, why not this way! :)

I am just curious if anyone else uses gang values, if so, what ones and how have they worked? I am worried about the quality (whether the plastic ones will corrode or leak air) of them.

If you don't use a gang valve, what do you use to control the release of CO2. Keep in mind I am trying to do this relatively cheap.

You should never try to restrict the flow of CO2 from a DIY system, as it can cause the bottle (or some other part of the system) to explode. Apparently yeasty mess all over the walls isn't a good thing :)

If your CO2 production is too much the first few days, you need to add less yeast to your mixture, and change it more frequently. The Jello recipe also gives more consistent results.

A check valve to stop tank water going into the tank is a good thing, as are valves where you have the CO2 from two bottles going into one tube into the tank.

Haha, wouldn't want a "yeasty mess" now would I? I haven't heard of this jello recipe. I will have to search around for that. I have a connector so I can have to bottles go to one tube. I was just looking for something to regulate the flow. I guess that's only a good idea when you have a tank. :) I will give it a try. No fish in the tank to kill, so I can't really screw anything up.
