GBR w/ white worm

my dads female GBR that he recently acquired has thing white roundish almost zit looking thin on her side.

its not fuzzy, but almost worm like, but it just sits there on her side, not moving or anything.

any ideas?

Does it actually look like a worm or more round? Does this thing by any chance have a " Y " shape? I can only think of anchor worm or fish lice..

she died awhile back but it didnt have a "Y" shape, no and i couldnt get a picture of her ever. shed go away when i came by, only came out for my dad. and it fell off eventually but left a small whitish patch but never seemed to bother her

Except that she's now dead.
Possible correlation? I have not clue.

it might be but what would the cause of the other 6 be that have died?
they showed no signs of the white thing, they all ate fine and interacted fine.
