Don't! LOL. They would be fine as a per gallon rule. I am just not sure about having 2 breeding pairs in the same tank. It is well planted, so there is a good bit of hiding places.

I was hoping you would jump in Helena. What size is exceptable for a breeding pair? I know they need to be able to run, but I am really limited to 2 fish in a 36" tank? I am ok with that, but it just feels like there is room a couple more. Guess I have to make room for another tank!!

I am tearing down 2 tanks tonight, which will make plenty of room for anothe 20L (long, lol). The pair I am getting Sunday have not "paired" up yet, but I would rather be safe than sorry. I will try to get pictures up, whenever I get the set up complete and the fish settle in.
Thanks for all of your help!!

I always kept my gbr pair in my 7gal :) but most people would probably say 10gal min for a pair. You could just get 1 pair, and have other fish like some tertas or whatever in there with them, although they may get killed when the gbrs decide to spawn...

Is a 10g enough? I am trying to breed them for my LFS. They do not have any locals breeding them and asked if I could give it a shot. But I have come to enjoy these guy over the past couple of weeks, and thought maybe 2 pairs would work. But if a 10g is ok for them, I will give that a shot.

Thanks
