Dunno, that's what I'm trying to find out. I bought him a year ago as a G. surinamensis, but true suris are very rare in the hobby at this point, so its very unlikely that he actually is. I think he may be an altifron, but I don't know how big they need to be before you can really tell the difference between all those very similar Geophagus species. I've posted his pic up elsewhere asking for opinions on his exact species.
