Ok we picked up some German Blue Rams, Lotus just fell in love with them so even when our first few didn't survive QT, I got some more.

We also picked up what was labeled as a angel ram. Of course this can't be the proper name as I can find zero info on such. It does look like a german blue ram with the body shape of an angel though, coloring is just like the rams, but the body is totally different. The colors aren't really showing in this pic as it was taken a few min. after being placed in QT.

If anyone knows the real name of this ram, please let us know.

It may just be me eco, but it looks just like a German Blue in body shape. This is, I am assumeing that the fish in question is the one is the second pic. Also, the fish in the second pic looks to be a female judging by the fins and shape alone.

I saw some Angel Rams for sale here once. A little over two years ago. But these were unmistakeably German blue rams. Sorry coundn't help ID better.

I'm with Orion on this -

I've done a google image search on rams.....and I'm coming up with Blue and Bolivian that look real close to yours. Same dark stripes - same "grey" colouring. The body shape is no help at all - but that and the lack of dramatic colour would point to it being a female.

Most posted pics tend to be the brightly coloured rams, but some of the pics of peoples personal tanks with rams in show this type.

No bites on Angel Ram - to confusing for a search engine to pick up on.

So.....Yup - it's a Ram

Yea, that's what I was thinking, but the 2 "angel rams" do have a distinct body shape as opposed to the other rams, it could be that they are just younger. I do have 2 males and 2 females of the german blues, so it's not that these "angel rams" are just females. I guess we will have to wait and see if their bodies elongate as they grow.
