Getting 55!!!!!!!

Horray!!! i am getting a 55 gal tomorrow!!!!

Now just to decide what to do with it. Community or Cichlids....hmmmm

any suggestions ideas?

Of course i have to cycle it first but y not think about the design.

hehe im in the same boat, i just refinished the hood and stand. and am going to set it up and cycle it. im thinking angels and rams

Thats what i would do anyways lolz but if it was vs cichlids or community than i would say cichlids

i am not really into angels or rams.......i want to be able to offer color, and a few types of fishes......

i do want something medium sized so i don't have to hunt to see them.

and....thats all i know i want for now.

I also need ideas for my 25 gal. so....heh post away plz!

Id go with a chiclid tank. They are so beautiful and offer all the things you mentioned (color and size) I'm sure you wouldnt regret it =)

i might just go to a few of the LFS's and look at their display tanks and what they have for sale/avalible to order.

Take that mbuna out of your old tank and do an mbuna community. Lots of colors and sizes to choose from

Is that a mbuna indeed? It said Mixed Africans when i bought it so i didn't know.

I guess it is a mbuna but.....it seems to hide in the cave i have a lot.

I want a fish that swims and you can enjoy with lost of energy. Got any suggestions?

if you want energy tropheus or mbuna or cyprichromis, since your kinda new id stay away from tropheus, cyprichromis would be nice in a tanganyikan community but you would probably have to order online where they cost a ton and youd need alot, so id go with mbunas, just stick to the less agressive small to medium sized mbunas

i love cichlids! you can't beat them for cool-looking fish to have, but they will be aggressive towards each other.

yeah with a bunch of mbuna they'll be all over the tank. Check out http://www.cichlid-forum.com/tanks/ and look at the mbuna tanks. Now tell me you don't want one of those

i'm not new to fish tanks Soul......lets just say i have only really....kept a few species of fish. But i have had an aquarium for about 5 years on my own and my family had 1 for about 3-5 years. =)

The 55 is in my garage right now until i can get some help getting it up the stairs. But i'll post some pics when i get it setup.
