Ghost Knifes

:-/  I have recently purchased a Black Ghost Knife.  I am trying to get any information on him that I can from an owner of one.  I also am worried that he may not be getting enough to eat and how i could correct this problem.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I just resently got one too im not sure if he is eating too. But I put some food in the tank right after "lights out" and he seems to forage around.

I've just started feeding him blood worms. He loves them just put somew in after lights out and it'll scavenge all night.

Have you got any other fish in the tank?
Knife fish will also eat small fish as they rest at night, as they get bigger they eat bigger fish.
Look after him, the south american indians beleive they are the reincarnated spirits of fishermen who have drowned. 8)

Hes in a community tank right now. He ate one of my neon tetras just cuz i wasn't feeding him right but now hes awsome. ;D

Umm I hope you know they grow to two feet long in aquaria. They are big fish.

I think your thinking of the clown knife the ghost is suposedly only grow to a foot or just under/over

BGK grows 20" - 24" no problem. Not one foot.

My ghost knife is kept in a 75 gallon, aggressive community tank.  Althought there are a few smaller tetras (that will soon be moving out) no problem as of yet.  Possibly I am feeding him well then??  And I have found that they will reach up to 2 feet in length.
