Ghost Shrimp!!!!!!!!!!

ok i got 3 ghost shrimp but on just got sucked into the filter and then spit it out. but what do i need with them? is it iodine? if so where do i get it i looked for it at my lfs and they did not have it!

Is there a strainer/grate on the filter?

It's debatable whether you need iodine in a shrimp tank or not. The usual one recommended is Kent Iodine, usually available in the saltwater section of the fish store. If you do decide to use it, dose at half dose stated on the bottle.

no it turns out he didnt get sucked into the filter i just found something that looked similar! well he must have just been hiding because i found him!!!!!!!!

no it was just somethiing that came out ,it didnt look like a shrimp but i just figured that it was but i did find a molt this morning and i just got them last night!

I have in and around a dozen or so ghost shrimp in my 30 gallon planted community tank and I've never used iodine or anything else. They do really well, I feed them with Nutrafina Max complete sinking food tablets and they just love the stuff. Definitely a good addition to have, good luck with them man.
