what do you guys think about ghost shrimps?
I was thinking about maybe getting a few. I had some before but they died quickly i guess it was because of the water quality? will my tetras eat them?

Shrimp like having plants to forage in. Floating plants are cheap and easy, plus good cover for shrimp. They may help your shrimp hide from agressive fish. Ghost shrimp don't technically need them, though, and can simply forage in gravel.

How many gallons is your tank?

You can have, what?, 1 Shrimp per gallon?? I'm getting a few, but I'm probably gonna get my Goldfish before that. Do you think it would be ok to use Safe Start by Tetra??

Some people will breed a hundred shrimp in a ten gallon. They have a pretty low bioload. 1 per gallon is a good guide for a normal tank though :)

Biospira is better than safe start if you can get it (or any other brand that needs to be refrigerated).

Or, isn't your other tank cycled? You can seed the new one with media from the original tank.

Edit: Also, Goldfish are coldwater fish and not compatible with tropical shrimp, so no go there.
