I use similar R/O water, doesn't go through all the bells and whistles like the post-carbon filtration, which sounds a little silly.

The pH of the water is 6.0 flat. Some people have to buffer it in addition to water changes when topping off. I change my water once a week, 1-2 gallons in my nano tank, and my pH is steady at 8.4. I don't use any additives and don't plan on starting. I keep some easy soft corals, and they are doing excellent, especially my gsp which is growing by the day.
