Hi everyone, this is my first post...
One of my two glass catfish has a cottony patch on it's side. At first I tried MelaFix, then I researched online and learned that cottony white pathes are fungal. [Is this always true?] So I did a 25% water change and bought some PimaFix to use instead. About that time, my fish's body started bending at the site of the fungus. The white patch is going away, but her body is getting worse and worse! It's almost bent at a right angle right behind her side arm-like fin [sorry for the silly description, I'm not sure what the technical name is for the side fin]. She keeps swimming and swimming like she's okay though. She's also breathing normal, but the past two days as the bend has gotten worse she's not been eating. It breaks my heart to see her body so distorted.
Has anyone ever seen fungus affect a fish like this? Or a glass catfish inparticular? Should I be using a different anti-fungal treatment? Any advice or help would be appreciated...I'm very worried for her!
