after going several months with a very healthy tank and no deaths, 2 of my fish died in the past 2 weeks. i understand this is probably normal with these inexpensive fish like i have, but the weird thing is that one of my fish just disappeared. it was my green glofish.
i couldnt find him anywhere. it was about time for a heavy duty cleaning anyways, so i took all the fish, decorations, and about half the gravel out and scrubbed/rinsed them. i still couldnt find the fish. i even spent about half an hour digging through the gravel in the tank to see if the got buried somehow. no luck. still dont know what happened. although my tank isnt completely covered as the hood only covers half the top, i am still not convinced that this tiny fish was capable of jumping out. i didnt see him anywhere near the tank anyways....
any idea what happened? maybe he died a while before i noticed and the other fish ate him...
