Hi I have 6 gold mollies. One of the mollies appears to have discolored light spots near is head and top of body. I thought possibly it was ich?? Not sure, treated with jungle ich tablets and it seams to be spreading...None of the other mollies or tank mates have any of these spots. Any idea of what this could be?

He show no ill effects. He's still eating, swimming and trying to mate.

ph 7.4
ammonia, nitrites, nitrates 0
20% weekliy water changes
50 gal tank
temp 75 degree

tankmates:
3 sterba cory
3 panda cory
12 neons
12 rummy nose tetra
10 silver tip tetra
6 gold dust mollies

thanks

Jan

I think I would raise the temp of the tank at least a couple of degrees.

Not sure what it could be...if it was ich, chances are good that it would spread to all of your other fish relatively quickly. You'd know ich if you saw it...it looks like your fish rolled in grains of sand.

At any rate...I dont suppose you have a quarentine tank set up? It would probably be good to seperate him from the others so that you dont medicate the entire tank or spread sickness to the rest of the tank.

Anyone ever heard of male pattern fish baldness? :)
