goldies and trops in same tank????

is it possible to put goldfish in the smae tank as trops.

the reason i ask is that i have two goldies in a 3.5 gal hex tank thay seem to be ok apart from thay both swim at a 45degree angle pointing toward 11oclock.

i think the tank that that are in is two small so can i put them in my 10 gal tank with my tropicals which is kept an a constant 27 degrees with a light and a better filter, or am i asking for trouble e.g more risk of desease.

or should i buy a seperat 10gal tank for the goldies . thanks in advance

most goldfish are REALLY messy and its best to give them about 10 gallons each. SO If the biggest tank you can buy is a 10 to put them in...go for it. I think most people would not usually suggest putting goldfish in with tropicals due to the fact that goldies like a lower temperature and eat different food etc. Sometimes goldies will eat smaller fish that fit into their mouth also Even if they dont seem aggressive. The tank you have them in is probably WAY too small for them.

I wouldn't suggest it for long term. Since they are cold water fish, I think you'll effect their life span in a long term situation.

I dont think I would,there from to different (water) worlds. Like Froggy said,most people will tell you not to.
