( Barbour shown on the pic...getting this type )

2 for a 30g...so no other fishies in the tank, just macro algaes, LR and coral rubbles.

found a guy who has a load of tanks with 'em.

Anyone experienced them ? If so, any advices ?

no experience with them but everytime I see a small hex tank for sale I think of a seahorse tank.

I hear that their feeding times are pretty long compared to regular fish, since they are so slow.

I don't know anything about SW tanks, but I'm pretty sure that's why it has to be a "seahorse-only" community, because they are so slow to get to the food. I heard that these guys are pretty tough to raise.

the guy has a good rate of mortality, but they mate a lot. He say those can eat frozen food along with live plankton.

never had any experience but your plan for a seahorse tank sounds solid and I dont see any problems. How are you gonna do the flow in the tank since it has to be realativly low I presume?

i've only dealt with lined seahorses when i worked at an aquarium. they weren't really that difficult to keep (unlike other species). they were fed blood worms and enriched brine, twice a day. and yeah, they mated a LOT.

OCC...i just ordered a Seio 820, so i will have a couple of AC from my reef that will be useful in the Seahorse tank + return pump from the mini-sump.
