Good aquarium kit?

is this a good aquarium kit? this will be for the single ram. i plan on doing twice a week water changes and vacoom the sand with the water changes.

You're better off getting a 10g tank and a filter, IMO. Even the "cheap" 10g kits are about the same price. I don't think a 5g tank is a suitable home for a ram.

Of course, you will need to buy a heater for whatever tank you get.

Ive seen the bare 10's for ten bucks at wal-mart which isnt a bad price, then just add a filter, gravel and heater.

the only problem is i dont have room for a ten gallon. the biggest tank i can possibly get is a 5.

cratch the five gallon, i might just might be able to set up the tan gallon i have a20 inch light and the area that i plan to put it is only slightly bigger maybe by half an inch, the only worry then would be the weight im sure if i can sit on it it will hold a ten gallon. ill measure and see.

get the 10 gallon and a sponge filter for 5$
those sponge filters are amazing.

I got a 5.5 gallon rectangular tank at Meijer for $8, and the hood that fits it for $15. I picked up a sponge filter at PSP for $6, and two small heaters (1 extra) for $6 each. I think you'd be better off making your own kit than buying that one. You can find some pretty good deals if you look for them

i already have a filter, it is in good shape, the filter on my bettas tank has plenty of bacteria to seed the tank with. all i need is play sand(how much should this cost) a ten gallon and a heater, i still have the light from my old then gallon that has 3.2 watts per galllon on a tengallon tank. and with the ten gallon ill be able to add maybe some cardinal tetras or some nice corys.
im starting to get MTS!
