Good inverts?

What inverts should i get to eat hair algae it's about half an inch on some of my LR

Try a reefsafe urchin. May eat your coralline after he finishes the hair though.

Urchins are pretty good at it... emerald crabs(creepy looking)... and I would suggest an assortment of snails...nassarius, turbo*thumbsup2 , astrea... some hermit crabs have been known to...sally lightfoot crabs...

Just a side Q... Do you have a protein skimmer?(Must have) What do you use for water topoff? (RO/DI!!!!)
A refugium w/macro will help out keeping the nutrients down...

No i dont have a PS yet... getting one as soon as i find one... the pet stores have been out i guess there has been a lot of people setting up SW tanks but when i find one i plan on getting it and for top offs i'm trying to get RO/DI water but cant find it cheap. right now i'm using tap water and i wanna get a refugium when i get a sump...

BTW like you said Dadstank the RODI water would filtered water be good or still not right because i know we have some old water filter things

no emerald crabs eat hair algea...... if i was you i wouldnt even considern a urchin why would you want something thats guna eat your coraline?

i didn't say i want one i was just asking what inverts were good i dont want an urchin because i've seen some get corals stuck and killed by them... but emeralds are cool-ish

i suggest using RO water. it should help with your algae. also macro will help lower nutrients. i dont think you need an emerald crab if you do 1 or both of these.

i'm going to try and use RO water for my WC i just forget when i go to the stores and i'll see i might do all 3 or should the crab only be with a tank with alot of algae?
