Good price?

I went to my LFS today and I saw a 37g tank with a glass hood and lighting fixture. I want to know if 99.99 is a good price?

P.S. It was orginally $217 but without the stand it's 99.99.

Hmm im still new but at pet supermarket i saw a 55g with hood and lights for 99.99. So imo i would say its a bit overpriced.

I don't know, may be hard to find cheaper..... is it a 2-bulb fixture? Most are single. I bought a couple years ago used with a 2-bulb fixture, stand, decor, etc. for $150 (I think, hmmm... I may have posted the price way back then).

What attracts you to this size tank? (just wondering) The height? The biggest to fit the space you have available? (Same footprint as a 29gal or 20gal long)

To be honest I'm not a big fan of 37gal. tanks; hard to light for one. Thinking of turning mine into a terrarium/vivarium/paldarium (poss. w/ same lighting issues tho). I'd like to switch the fish from it to a 55 or 75.

In my area at least it would definitely be harder to find cheaper, a 20 gal at my LFS is about $115. I think it just depends on what else you can find in your area, shop around a little.

fishbrain - I like it because...... I don't really know why I like it. I think it looks bigger than a 37g. It's probably my eyes are playing tricks on me, lol.

tessalion - I agree with you. Some areas are cheaper than others. I find that my area has expensive tanks.
