good tankmates for usd cats

i am trying to find a sutiable cichlid tankmate for my usd cats.i am hoping to find one from the congo or perhaps the rift lakes.the fish musn't get too big for a 30 gal. dwarf spicies are perfered.wood rock and plant are going to make up the decor.any suggestions are welcome.thanks again
p.s. i won't be back for 12 hours

thanks wayne.i know they aren't from the rift lakes but i figured if no one could think of a acidic water based fish i could use a fish from the rift lakes because my usd's are already acclimated to hard water.so you think kribs will play nice with my cats.i had thought about that option.i don't have any hands on experince with african cicihlids yet so i figured ask those who know

I think kribs would be ok, but if you can try a pair of any of the nanochromis, that would be nice. They're not common, but some are very pretty so you'd be able to sell any offspring. You'd probably need to get them special order, or over the internet. Anything except nudiceps or parilus is really rare, and probably not available in the US.
Hemichromis are probably too agressive, and steatocranus are an acquired taste. Oh, and there's also Telmatochromis, very pretty and again very rare. Look in the Baensch atlas for photos
