got any suggestions?

I had a Royal Pleco but he sadly past away 17 days after i got him, and it was quite sudden, just wondering if anyone might have any clue as to why he died, id like to kno so tht if i try another one i dont kill him too being that they arent exactly tht cheap Thanks

:( Sorry to hear you lost such an expensive and gorgeous fish! Maybe he/she wasn't getting enough to eat? Did you notice if it's belly was fat, or if it was skinny? I had a hard time keeping plecos alive.:rolleyes: I believe mine died because they didn't get enough to eat.

ahh, yes..Driftwood! They get loads of nutrients from that! (in fact that's probally why my pleco is doing so well now!) :) when you do get driftwood..don't forget to boil it (unless you like brown water, which in some cases, ppl do like.). :)

:eek: It died?! :( There must've been something wrong with it internally because Convicts are very forgiving when it comes down to water conditions, and are very hardy fish. They could literally, live in in the sewers..but that can't be good for their health.:D

Ohh, I don't think keeping fish is a geek thing..it's cool:cool: There are lots of women that keep fish (well, I know quite a few that do!) but not many my age. I supose I guess I don't have anything better to do!:D
