OK... so I stopped by a garage sale last week and they had a 75G tank, stand and wood cover for top, a rena filstar xp3, and a aquamedic 1000 P skimmer(in-sump model) and a 30Gsump.... sticker said $300 or b/o... they took $200... I got it home and did some looking for prices... I made out like a bandit!!!
My Q's are ....
Does anyone run the filstar or the aquamedic?
and is the filstar just a weekly/biweekly or monthly use item or something you have running all the time?
As for the skimmer.... does anyone use or have used this model and were there any quirks or problems with them I should expect?
Once I have system fully up n running I will post some pics...it will be a little bit.. patience is a definite virtue *thumbsups
