Only 22.5 hours late!

Boy that sucks. 2 out of 9 were DOA. Fex-Ex was NO help in tring to find the package or telling me when they might get here. The rest looked to be in good condition. So I guess its not too bad after all.

The fish are still pretty doped up from the bag buddies. But I do see them stick a head out from the rocks every now and then.

Lights off till the morning. Im also keeping my fingers crossed.

They are more than I was expecting. I hope to be able to get a few pics by the weekend.

2 out of 9 aint so bad for a shipping rate - which is why I avoid it (but i know sometimes it's the only way to get what you want)

hang on in there and feed them critters up some - looking forward to the pics when they settle in.......

Good to hear most made it :) I think a lot depends on how the fish are packed. I've had deliveries with no casualties, and deliveries with quite a few.

Definitely follow up with FedEx if the delivery was late, as they should refund the shipping cost. They may refund it to the sender, so you should see if you can get them to follow it up for you.

They are settleing in great. So far this morning I have seen 5 at once, so I know at least that many made it through the night. I'm sure they all did, its just a matter of seeing them. These have to be the goofiest fish I have ever seen. I meen that in a goofy, funny way. They dart in and out of the rocks, checking everything out, but they way they do it is well, goofy. I dont know how exactly to explain it. lol I guess you just have to know the way julies swim.

I've not offered them any food yet. I will here in a little bit. They may or may not be up to eating yet. I have noticed some biting at floating bits of whatever is floating by. Could be to eat it, or just checking it out.

The fish were packed perfectly. Heat pack, double bagged with oxygen, rubber banded corners, insulated box, the works. If they were not packed right, there would have been no way they would have survived the temps we were having around here and being in there for so long.

I am going to follow through with Fed-Ex. You can count on it.

And I tell you just about the most amazing part of the entire experince was the attention I got from who I bought these off of. She was absolutly wonderfull. Her username on aquabid is Arline777. If you ever see anything from her that you want, you dont have to worry. She was wonderfull to work with. She helped me with the Fed-Ex problem and heck, she even offered a refund for what I paid just because 2 were DOA. Of course I told her no, but the fact that she even offered says alot about the way she does buisness. I would not hesitate to buy from her again.

The julies are coming around more, but it still may be a little bit before I can get any good pictures.

A few pics

ok, I was able to get a few decent pictures out of 100 taken. These are not great by any meens, but you can pretty much see what they look like. Most are around an inch, 1.5 tops. These are going to be some beutiful adults. Of course, the majority of where they wanted to pose for the pictures was on the side glass that has many scratches and lots of algae. Figures. lol

Here we go....

they're cute!! I know what you mean about them being "goofy", if they swim anything like mine (I have transcriptus not this kind, but still julies)...I saw one website describe how they swim as like little submarines...they just dont swim like other fish. One of mine likes to hang out vertically behind the heater. Nothing wrong with it...thats just what it likes. The other kinda hovers horizontally, but on its side next to a rock like its hunting...they're very cool. When they get bigger you should get some ghost shrimp and see how they like to hunt...just did that for the first time with mine this weekend! it was a ton of fun.

Anyway...glad they seem to be doing well :)

your julies look great! I've seen them at the LFS but I wouldn't dare add one more living entity into my 65gal; gawd those jewel cichlids need to go.. but enough about my rant;

yeah gotta agree with Cichlid-Man; thats a great blue; wasn't sure if it was blue but looks a lot like the same color as my deep blue johanni. Really nice fish; hope to hear how many make it through the end of a week.
