Will mixing a Dwarf Gourami or Honey Gourami with a female betta be a bad idea? Something is telling me it is, but I want to make sure.

Sometime soon, I'll be getting a 29 gL or larger aquarium, and I wanted to get a Gourami. I also wanted to put away my 2.5 gallon, which houses my female betta, along with one of, if not both, the 5 gallon aquariums.... I've still got time to do research on everything i'll need... so no rush, I suppose.

If they can't mix, I'll just upgrade Bonnie's home to one of the 5 gallons.

I wouldn't put a MALE betta in with them but a female may be okay. Maybe put her in but keep the 2.5 up just incase you need to move her back in there?

Well, I've still got at least 1 or 2 months before I can even start looking for a tank. I've decided to go with a 55 gL, and break down the 2.5 and one 5 gallon... maybe even the 10.

If she doesn't get along with the dwarf gourami, i'll just put her in the 5 gallon, I bet she'd prefer that over the 2.5 gallon. :D
