Gourami Changing Color?

Is it normal for gourami's to change color? I have had this gourami for over a year now. Its a normal blue gourami with the darker blue spots/patches. I noticed a few days ago that the back half of its body is a very dark blue and the front half is the normal light blue. It is literally split down the middle. There doesnt appear to be anything wrong with the fish otherwise. No fugus or other infections going on in the tank. Anyone else seen this? I'll try to get a pic.

As far as I know, this isn't normal. Unfortunately, I have no idea what it is.

thats very strange, its normal for gouramies to go lighter and darker depending on there mood but ive never herd of a gourami going half one colour and half the other?!?
