How can you tell the difference between male and female blue paradise gourami?(Pictures will be helpful)

Um I would say Lift a fin and see what you see...

I don't know about paradise fish... I've heard that the males are more colorful and the females seem a little more washed out... but you wouldn't be able to tell in a store because less dominant males would look like females. For most gouramis, the females have a rounded dorsal fin while the male has a slightly longer pointy fin.

Well I found out, my Gourami is a ....... MALE. Well I am happy with anything but now I will get a female Betta when I get another tank.
