okay so i've had my neon blue dwarf gouramis for 3 weeks now.
when i first got him a couple days later i noticed some fuzz on top of his head, and well me being new and all with having a gouramis i left it.
about a week later i noticed he had several cuts/wounds on his body, and noticed that some of the bleeding heart tetra's and columbian tetra's attacting at him.
they were quickly removed from the aquarium.
originally i treated him with melafix, and he showed some improvement.
i later then found out that the pink fuzz on top of his head might be fungus. so i started treating him with pima fix.
well good news the pink fuzz on top of his head is now completely gone.
but the cuts that originally occured now have pink fuzz on and around them.
as well, his tentical thing was split in two and part of it fell off.
today i noticed that now there is osme pink fuzz at the base of that.
so i am seriously starting to freak out.
is he in trouble?
is he sick?
is this natural and the fuzz has to come for his cuts to get better?
i dont' know. and it's scaring me.
please somebody help and let me know if there is anything i can do to help him!
thank you

I do believe that it's a fungus, and no... it's not normal. I checked the disease database here at MFT but couldn't find quite what you described.
Instead of removing the other fish I would suggest that you remove the Gourami. You may be able to treat him better in a hospital tank.

If no one else is able to help you try going to your fish store and looking at the bottles of medication. The Aquarium Pharmasuticals brand usually has pictures of the disease so you know which bottle to get.

Make sure you remove any carbon from your filter before using the medicine though.

Also, depending on what this is you may need to treat the whole tank too (if you quarantine the Gourami).

I would definitely try something that treats both fungal and bacterial infections. There are a number of them available. I have had sucess with Jungle Fungus Cure tablets on a number of diseases. Try to make sure you don't get a broad spectrum antibiotic, as it will kill your biological filter (read the label, see what it says).

Pimafix and Melafix can help with mild cases, but as yours has come back, it's time to switch to something stronger. Good luck :)

it didn't come back on top of his head, that part is all gone, no signs of it.
there is a little bit of white now on his fin where there use to be the pink fungus.
i don't know what that means, is the white better or worse?
the part where it just recently showed up was at the base of his tentical feeler thing and on the cuts.
i dont' know if it is too far along, but i just need some advice on what to do, thanks

The fact that he has cuts, and that this is growing on them has me worried the most.
Steps to take now:
1) go to pet supply store
2) find the medicine shelf
3) Buy Pimafix and Melafix (although you said you have that already) Look here for info on them: http://www.aquariumpharm.com/aqfish.html
4) Treat the tank per the directions, but make sure that you remove the carbon from your filter. If you leave the carbon in the filter then it will remove the medicine from the water.

Oh, and good luck. I hope he gets better. :)
