Ever since I removed gourami #2 and replaced him with neons, my gourami #1 is spending a lot of time swimming back and forth across the front of the tank, even if I'm not sitting in front of hte tank...he might see me off to the side though. Is he just begging for food? Is there any way to get him to stop? If not, that's ok...but it would be nice if I could get him to behave "normally'. :p

It's kind of funny...if a neon or panda cory happens to be in the way he plows right through it...and the victim of the hit & run doesn't even seem to care. :)

I think that's pretty normal for a gourami. They tend to be "people" friendly... they always want food or attention. Mine have always spent a lot of time in the front. It doesn't sound like it's bothering the other fish any.

Nah levels are fine. He does it pretty much constantly. He'll stop after a feeding so he can pick through the gravel and look for food...but he'll start right back up again afterwards.
