For my 20 gallon, i was thinking:

Pair of Kribs
2 Dwarf Gouramis
4 small, fast tetra (or something similar)-use for Dither fish for kribs during breeding.

Will the Kribs bother the gourmis too much?

Thanks!

No disrespect to the other posters- but no. It is absolutely NOT ok to house a pair of Kribs in there. Put ONE Kribensis. Either male or female. As soon as Kribs breed, they will take control of the entire tank and murder everything. Gouramis- especially dwarves, heal very poorly from skin damage, such as bites.

If you really want to breed Kribs in there, only keep them with something they will not consider a threat, like really tiny tetras or Danios. You don't have to listen to me, but the gouramis will probably agree once they have 3 scales left. :)

im afraid I agree with pablo.

My pearl gourami bears testament to what kribs can do.

When I bought a pair of kribs a year ago they began breeding after a week. All my other fish were huddled in a corner, damage and death to my poor coolie loaches and to my paltys (not the ones I have now).
I had to put a divider in and this almost put me of fishkeeping for life!!! They bred and bred and bred which ment I could never take the divider out.
When I finally gave my kribs away to the local fish store my interest was renewed and I found this site.
