Gravel

I have a 55 gallon tank and put in 50lbs of regular gravel. Is that enough or should I get more? If I need more how much?

I will be putting in only plastic plants, decorations, and maybe a bubble bar.

I like very little gravel. I take it about a stone height above the frame.

Since you're only putting in plastic plants, it depends on your liking.

I put 50lbs in my 55 and its plenty for me. It is about 1" - 1 1/4" deep in mine and does fine with plastic plants. You might have some issues getting your airlines to stay buried, but you could always get a 5lb bag and just build it up where you need to.

I'd say the standard gravel depth is usually about 1/2'' to 1''. Should be enough to dig most fake plants and ornaments into so they dont float around
