green algie during cycle

Hello all,

I started my cycle about 2 weeks ago and my live rock is covered with green algie, I'm worried that it will kill off the coraline algie, feather dusters and such.

Shall I just wait it out and hope my first hermits are hungry or is there anything I can do beforehand during the cycle process to save some colour on my rock?

Has anyone else had this problem? If so what did you do what happened?

My ammonia readings are coming down and nitrite is just starting to rise.

cheers

You are in the throws of your cycle. Just wait it out, your cleanup crew will take care of the algae once your cycle is complete and you add them. Any coraline will come back just be patient......
