one of my green button polyps spit out somethign chunky and white and is now all closed up....whats up any ideas?

probably stress induced release of zooxanthellae...was anything "pestering" it?

not that I'm aware of.... what did it release?

zooxanthellae...its the photosynthetic bacteria inside the polyps

not likely...the expulsion of zooxanthellae is a sign of stress not of reproduction

Did you add anything to the water before this happened, Ph buffer or anything?

no i stay away from chemicals as much as i can

When did you put it in the tank?

you may not ever be able to find out what caused it. if everything else in the tank seems ok, the rest of the colony is ok, and your water parameters check out it could just be one of those things that won't be explanable
