Green Coraline?

Just wondering the back glass PH and heater are covered in this stuff looks something like Coraline it's a weird green but i noticed some of it looks like it's turning purple-ish but Coraline doesn't change colors does it? What could it be? I'll try to get a picture or two later

Yes I'm very sure that hard encrusting green algae is a species or variation of the purple and red corallines, got some in my tank as well.

I have some new green algae that looks like coraline on my newish rock. I did some reading and searching, and found that a lot of the time it will become purple with time. It wasn't clear to me whether the purple was a more mature stage or whether the purple outcompetes the green eventually.

I see the same thing. It does seem that the green is a start and then purple takes over.

cool so all this green stuff will turn purple i thought so because i could see purple rings around the green.
Thanks now I'll be watching my baby shroom and the green Coraline all the time
