How big are the other fish??? I doubt it anyway though because  the oscar will get to big and the terror is very aggressive. Plus the silver dollar will get really big :)

I successfully kept an Oscar with a smaller Fire Mouth.  Don't know how that would get along with the others?

How 'bout a cuppla more silver dollars or a friend or two for Oscar? Oh yeah you gotta get some more Convicts.  I' have a very happy tank with one male and two females.  They're EZ to sex.  Throw a few small clay flower pots in the tank and watch those rascals breed!:;)  55g is alot'o water you definately have room for more buddies.  Whatever.

good luck

WOW. I just think pacus are cute. I also LOVE severums. Oh yeah, tell me if this is a rip. I saw a green severum yesterday at an LFS, fairly large, $70.00. Do you think that is a lot? I sure as hell do for a fresh water fish.

pacus are cool..but they get gigantic..friend had the same set up as yours..oscar & pleco...and he had channel cat as well & pacu...the pacu got so big he could hardly turn in the 55...all of them ate so much and cr*pped so much maintenance was nightmare...and none of them could move..better to try this set up in a 75 or larger...and severums are the best...i have a small gold probably worth about $25 retail...and my green severum probably becuse of his size would be at least $50 +...but he is ready for old fish home...green terror probably wouldn't be comfortable with oscars..and your silver dollar is lame becuase they need others to school with..

I love Severums, they are the absolute best fish :) I had a 8 inch female before and she ate out of my hand!! They are very trusting fish , and they are also beautiful. Greens are nice but, personally i like the turquoise better.  Aspurguru: that is a big rip off, usually a large one goes for about 30$ but, we barely ever see green around here , so i don't know if it is more $$$ for greens. IMO you should really get rid of the silver dollar and replace it with the severum. Oh and you will probably need a larger tank for the oscar later. ;) Pacus really shouldn't be kept as an aquarium fish unless u have a 250 gal or more. Anyway good luck :)
