I have a green terror in a 10 gallon, and now i have enough money to buy a bigger tank for it. Is a 50 gallon tank big enough for this fish to live out it's life? Is 50 gallons enough for a pair?

How do you tell the sex of cichlids? Mine has a little stub of flesh sticking out next to the butt-hole, is this a reproductive organ, or is there something wrong.

I read somewhere that a variety of foods should be fed, are pellets good?

http://www.aquariumfish.net/catalog_pages/cichlids_neotropical/cichlids_neotropical_more.htm#top2 (scroll down till you see a green green terror)
This can't possibly be the natural colors can it? I think it is dyed, its edges are lime color.

Anyone have any blueprints to make a DIY stand and hood?

75gal should be good. you could put a pair in a 75gal. But i personally would put ONLY the pair in. They will get territorial during spawning. If you get just 1 then a few other larger cichlids will be fine with it. EX: Oscar, Blue Acara, Jack Dempsy. GT's only get to about 8-9"

You can feed pellets or flakes.....either will work fine. Or even a mix of them.

That could possibly be a dyed fish but it could be a differnt light.

There are some links above or ask in the DIY section.
