Green Terrors

Just want to know alittle more about them, my 55 is empty. want some thing colorful and somewhat small. Two limas will be in the tank also. one about 7-8 inches, the other about 4-5

Treat the green terror like almost any other cichlids.  Territorial, aggressive, and with some personality.

I suggest you look at some of the Green Terrors at different stores.  Some are so brilliant and have nice fins/tails with more color and varying patterns.  

I prefer to try to find one with a larger hump on his head with nice finnage and color.  That just means that they are pretty dominant and have been treated well in terms of health in the aquarium.

They are VERY owner responsive, only rivaled by Oscars.

by owner responsive, do you mean, they turn out better the better you take care of them or what?

i heard that green terrors are very agressive? i never kept one(don't have a large tank for one) but i've seen them at my lfs they had some oscars and about same amount of green terrors together and all the oscars are together in the bottom corner of a tank and the green terrors were swimming around heehe

  The one Green Terror may get up to 14" in a couple of years. These things are notorious for being violent towards tankmates. The one terror might be ok but you might want to be careful what you put in there. I`ve had experience with Jack Dempseys and they  get hyper-aggressive after they mature.

would a green terror be ok with 2 severums?  Or is the green terror too aggressive?

i have a green terror 6in. in my tank, its not it that agressive compare to some oscars.  i had a oscar before and it gone crazy towards other fishs and it jump out of the tank.  go head buy a green terror you will enjoy it. make sure you feed it good food like shrimp, blood worms and good pellets.

I wouldn't try it. The severums are more peaceful giants  unlike green terror which is more like a reg cichlid.
