Grey spots on black neon tetras

I have two black neon tetras that recently developed gray spots all over them. I have others, but they don't seem to have any spots. I am fairly new at having fish and have never had any sick. Could someone please tell me what I should do?

How old is the tank that you have them in? Are the spots white rather than "gray?" White spots that look like little grains of salt are a common fish ailment called "ich." To cure this, you can simply raise the temperature in the tank to about 86 degrees. If it has already progressed to where the fish have many spots, it may be too late and you may lose some of them. Either way, if you are new to fish keeping, you should definitely read up on "cycling" a tank.
