can guppy fry carry diseases? I would think that they can, but everything else in one of my guppy tanks is sick, except the fry.
2 kulhi loaches
and a handful of adult female guppies.

My fish are turning white/grey, in large blotches/all over. It started w. one loach (about a week ago) and spread. Ive raised the temp and treated lightly with Aqua-Sol (which is for Ick, which i dont think this is).

Should I try salt, and how much per gal. do you think is best?

I would do a large water change and treat with a combination antibacterial/antifungal medication. I've been happy with Jungle Fungus Cure, although it can stain your silicone and gravel. There are a number of other meds available, though. It's not easy to tell fungal from bacterial diseases unless you're a biologist :)

I just made a new post on my Dropsy in guppies =3 It's the remedy for your illness. Only one illness acts like that ^^ and turns grayish or gold depending on the fish, and yes fry can carry just as easily as adults, and your fry are more likly to die. However some are healthy enough if they are smaller then this _
To not alow a fungus to grow on it's body =D you defenetly have ich/ick. And the jungle fungus alimenator would work, but I would do aquariums salt and copperscafe for ten to 14 days ^^

day one to 10 you will need to place the aquarium salt in daily and do a daily 20-25% water change, then place a healthy amount of copperscafe into the water, take out and boil all plants and ornaments, use the lights only 4 hours a day, heat up the tank to 82-84 F. And every day use a lesser and lesser amound of copperscafe. ^^; Hope that helped, this will be the first time I'm trying it as well;, but you can find this and other remidies and Guppy.com's forum.
