well, it took forever for my 30 to get some fish...but when it did I took the pl*co from my wife's 10 gallon and put it in my 30. Well, I like the way they look, don't really care if they eat algea or not...so got a small one to put back in my wife's tank. The new one was about an inch, maybe less...was a weee lad....now though, and I still can't figure it, the little thing is probably a little over 2 inches. Going to be moving it out to the 30 soon. :) So this is now the question. Other than pl*cos, what is a nice bottom feeder, that can stay in a 10 gallon its whole life?

Also, does the color of pl*cos determine its sex? one is a dark color, kind of gives it a menacing look. The smaller one is very light in color...as if it lived on a beach. Just noticed it the other day, and have no idea why their colors would be tinted so different.

Cories are a nice scavanger. Mine are very active during the day, with a break every now and then for a quick fish nap. What they dont eat, they seem to sweap everything to one corner of the tank!
