i put in a rona bucket and forget it ...just need algae to grow so they do not need food. But you want them grow fast ...feed beef heart...better in smaller tank so clean it easily the uneaten food...also baby fry eat them as they stay low.

Also get a 100W cfl and put a bumb over bucket for lot of plants and lagae grow.

i am using 9w cfl..not good enough ...searching for 105w cfl.

Theyll grow to maybe 3/4 or 2/3 on an inch in a month (thats an estimate)
Yea beef heart is actually good for them, but like i said before Hikari First bites and baby brine shrimp is also good.

The 'turkey baster' used on a reef is used after anesthesia is sprayed in the water to stun the fish. Not many survive.

I've used the nets meant for brine shrimp, as they are much softer to not cause abrasions. Whatever method you use, you must be very slow and careful.
