Growth rate?

How fast do Upside-down cats grow? I've had 2 of mine for 3 months and the other for 1 and haven't noticed them getting any bigger, but then I'm not the most observant person either.

I'm asking because my sister now has a 10 gallon with 2 (+1 black mystery snail) I personally am going to buy her a 20 gal (minimum) and then give the 10 to my mom for a shellie tank. I was just wondering how quickly I need to get her that bigger tank? I'd like to wait til xmas if the fishies permit.

I bought upside down catfish (a brown variety with speckled markings all over) about a year and a half ago, and mine are still just a tiny bit bigger than my adult bronze corydoras. You do have to be careful though, because some upside down catfish (synodontis family) get quite large in the same length of time, as my synodontis euruptus did. He is not about 6" long and big enough to make a nice-sized, well, you know what I mean.

I think I might have a problem... For a while now I thought that my tiny usd catfish was just hiding a lot because I never saw him but today all three were swimming around and the tiny little 3/4 inch dude is now as big as the other two, aprox. 1.5 inches. It's also much paler than the other two so I'm thinking he's not the same as the others?

They are in a 20 gallon with a black mystery snail, do I have a bit of a problem on my hands?
