I'm in the very fortunate position of finding someone who wants to tear down their Tang tank and get rid of all their stock. Unfortunately the very generous guy is not so generous with his information on species available.
Here's his description, can anyone guess what these might be?

some birght yellow things that are a good 6 inches now, they look amazing. The male changes colour from a good yellow down to a really dark black, huge big
dorsal fin.

your starter is that they're not neolamp. leleupi

any guesses appreciated, thanks, and maybe don't rule out Malawis yet.

I've nothing more to go on Soulfish, what you've read above is all I know.
I flicked through my old copy of Baensch last night and shortlisted telmatochromis, neolamp. occellatus gold and sexfasciatus gold - but I think you may be right about the above pic (first one didn't come out btw) is that calvus or compressiceps? Do the males change colour?
I would be chuffed to bits with either of those two!

Well I turned up today to take a look and they turned out to be Malawis, big uns too! I didn't want them or the 8-9" syno decorus or the large family of convicts he had in his "Tanganyika" tank! I did get some tropheus though, please see my latest post!
