Guppy and Platy (the saga)

Just added 2 Fancy Guppies to my tank (1 male + 1 female).. Already had a Red Wag swordtail (male) and a Gold Mickey Mouse Platy (I think female). The male Guppy is constantly following and nipping(?) the underside of the Platy. I think the Platy may be pregnant ..heck I'm not even sure it is a female
Anyway, is this an interspecies love ritual or should I suspect that the Platy is being bullied? The Platy does jump when the Guppy does it's nip/love kiss though it doesn't really seem like it is trying too hard to get away..

Do I need a course in fish courtship 101 or is there a problem..

Sounds like the guppy is bullying your platy especially becasue it jumps everytime he does it. try adding another female guppy to keep the male a bit busier as the agression may be steming from boredem. Have a look at the tails on your platies. The males should be a bit more kinda spiked but the female should have a nice 'fan' like tail. also is she fater then the male? if so then is probably is pregnant. maybe the male guppy is waiting for her to drop so he can eat the babies? alternativly you could try giving the platy some hiding places.
