Guppy Problems

The other day I brought home 2 guppies to my 10 gallon fish tank. The tank already had a guppy and an algea eater in it. The guppy l already had started niping one of the new guppies fins. I thought guppies were good community fish. So why is the old guppy chasing the new one? What should I do?

what sex guppies did you introduce and and what sex guppy did you have originally?

if you have 2 males and 1 female the two males will chase the single female, its better to either have all males, all females or 2 or 3:1 female to male ratio (man i wish everywhere was like that lol)
