well its been over a week since i moved the tank home and i still have the temp up because of the previous ick situation. unfortunatly i woke up this morning to a dead guppy. the odd thing was i when i fed them last night everyone was active and fine, and this morning... :(. his fins were torn up and his eyes and belly were picked at. i dont think i have any aggressive fish in the tank. is this a normal behavior. also, when i cleaned the tank today i noticed that i had some hair algae growing out of the filter and on some of the (fake) plants in the back of the tank. any idea why this is popping up? and if it will go away when i drop the temp back down? thanks for any help you guys can give!

algae is not the cause of the death. when fish die their defences (if you like) shut down so they cant defend themselves from deteriation and diseases. their fins will degrade quite fast and some fish will peck at other sick, dieing fish too so it can be many reasons.
